Scarlett Vine and Lauren Morgan
They both have a great work ethic and have gone on to give up their day jobs and started their own very successful business’ and not just doing this as a hobby business on the side.
As we have had so many students complete both these qualifications with us over the years, it was a hard decision whom to pick.
Then we thought, of course, it’s obvious Scarlett Vine!
Microblading training has been around for a few years now in this country, but it was only summer 2017 that it became a Nationally recognised Level 4 qualification on the government framework.
We were one of the first centres to be accredited to offer the VTCT Level 4 certificate in Microblading techniques, with our expert tutor Amy Allen heading this up.
The first student to sign up for this was the lovely Scarlett Vine, and she was in the first group of students to complete this qualification.
Scarlett was a young girl working in an office at Gravesham council. She knew about our training centre as her mum trained with us in Beauty Therapy many years ago and was awarded student of the year for her high achievement.
So Scarlett had a hard act to follow, but luckily she was a natural at Microblading. Scarlett worked very hard, and all her work paid off quite quickly as she was soon able to leave her office job and open her own business “Brows by Scarlett” in Sevenoaks, Kent.
On completion of her microblading qualification Scarlett added the Level 4 Diploma in micropigmentation, so now has a variety of techniques to use for her clients to achieve their perfect Semi-permanent makeup goals.
We also need to congratulate Scarlett as she is soon going on maternity leave and about to become a mum for the first time.
Only a couple of months later we had a whole new group, and one of those ladies was Lauren Morgan from Brighton. Lauren is a very bright and glamorous young lady with a lot of drive and energy.
A complete natural! She was able to master the hair stroke patterns almost perfectly from day one. Lauren previously worked in promotions and had studied business management at the University of Brighton, which gave her a ground background knowledge for when she qualified and went on to start her own business.
Lauren also amazed us with her talent for designing her treatment room at home and even fitting the wood flooring herself, and it looks fabulous.
Lauren runs her successful business Brow Goals in Brighton and is also very supportive of other people in the industry, offering help and advice through social media.
We are bursting with pride at the enormous successes all our girls have achieved over the years and the way we all together are raising the standards in this industry.
Some students have trained elsewhere and then come to us to raise their standards and perfect their techniques while gaining their VTCT level 4 qualifications.
Many of these have gone on to be trainers themselves and are successfully working all around the country to include Marie Selby of Microbeau and Santa Kalnina of Phi Brows England.
Well done, not just to Scarlett and Lauren but also to the whole Allen and Walden microblading community.
