Saturday Shout Out: From NVQ Beauty Level 3 To Sailing The World
This week we feature Anna Koltai, back in the country for a few short weeks to be a bridesmaid for our own Amy Allen, who as many of you know is getting married next Saturday.
Anna is an inspiration to all. If you are wondering what path to go down in the beauty industry, we have an ambitious Lady who has done pretty much all of it! Working her way up the ladder and moving onto exciting new adventures!
Anna is Amy’s best friend and completed an NVQ level 3 with us when she was just 17.
On completion, she landed her first job at the Maidstone Marriot hotel, working as a therapist.
Wanting to go off and do bigger things she applied for a position at the London Savoy, staying there for two years as a therapist, gaining lots of experience in this top London hotel and Spa and meeting lots of celebrity faces on the way!
At age 22, Anna decided that she wanted to branch out again and got a fantastic opportunity in Switzerland at a private chalet, getting to massage several A list celebs!!
After the season she returned home and worked as an aromatherapy expert with the Aromatherapy Associates, becoming an account manager.
And now, here is when the exciting stuff happens!! Deciding that she wanted new adventures and that you cannot ever stop working your way up the career ladder, Anna packed her suitcase, left her job at Aromatherapy Associates and left for France!!
With no job to go to, this could have been a risky move! But within a week of searching and putting herself out there, she has done what takes other people three months of trying!!
Anna had landed herself a job in Monaco in the South of France and will now be based on a private superyacht travelling around the Mediterranean as a therapist!!
At 23 I would say this CV is pretty tremendous!! Gaining experience not just in the Spa but juggling all tasks of a stewardess she has spent the past three years travelling the globe on various superyachts.
With hard work and determination at 28, she is now Spa Manager onboard the largest sail yacht in the world and has fitted all this into only ten years in the industry.
So from all of us here at Allen and Walden, we would like to say a massive congratulations and good luck with her ongoing adventures 😁
