Micropigmentation and microblading is now a very big market in the UK and there are many pop up training schools offering in house qualifications and often training is carried out in hotels and not a professional licensed clinical training centre. It is very important to make sure you have the right qualifications and the VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Microblading is a recognised qualification, both in the UK and Worldwide and is seen as the highest standard you can reach with certification.
More and more councils and local authorities are tightening up their requirements for their registration, and like with Laser and IPL Qualifications, it will soon be mandatory for both licensing and insurance to hold a nationally recognised Level 4 qualification before you are able to practice micropigmentation of any kind. Many London boroughs are already insisting on this before they will issue a licence
Description
Course Content
This course takes you from beginners level 1 right through to a master technician level 4
- Students are guided through all aspects of Microblading from level 1 beginners right up to level 4
- A separate unit in perfect eyebrow shaping is completed prior to starting actual microblading
- Microblading Eyebrows with and without existing hair
- Pigments
- Needles, blades, handtools
- Perfect Hair Stroke Brows
- health and safety/Sterilisation
- Local government by laws/licensing
- setting up the clinical environment, trolley, couch, equipment and PPI
- First aid
Assessment Method
You will be required to complete both written and practical assignments at home and these must be typed and well presented. You will be assessed on clients and the first assessments will take place on day 2 of your course with your tutor carrying out the first pass of the hair strokes for you to then go over. The remaining assessments will be scheduled for a day for when you have completed and perfected drawing brow shapes with your microblade on leather as home study and you tutor has passed you on this first stage of the course. If not yet competent at any stage of the process, further visits for additional training or reassessment in that area will be required. We are very experienced educators so you will get the best guidance and support possible to enable you to complete this course. Our aim is to make sure when you leave us you are fully competent and confident to carry out intricate microbladed eyebrows.
Course Duration
The initial course is completed in 2 days intensive . A further 5 or more days for models and assessment sessions will be scheduled within 3 months of the start of the course. Course duration is usually 6 months depending on completion of case studies. We allow up to 1 year to complete this course.
Entry Requirements
The VTCT Mandatory Infection prevention (COVID-19) free course is a pre requisite to this qualification but there is an additional cost of £20 certificate fee This has to be done only once and covers you for future VTCT qualifications. A good level of both written and spoken English plus an aptitude for either makeup or Art essential. A Beauty Therapy or Medical qualification would be beneficial.

If you are an accredited artist in Microblading but trained somewhere else You can upgrade to the VTCT L4 in Microblading , we offer this priced depending on your knowledge on entry and will require you to complete case studies, homework and a formal assessment. The conversion comes generally at two levels Level one Conversion students who have previously trained but are not feeling confident with their skills and wish to upgrade not just their qualification but skills/ knowledge Level Two conversion students demonstrating through their portfolio a competent standard of work and have all the relevant knowledge of A&P; and Health and safety.
